Australian Long Tail Hopping Mouse.
Notomys longicaudatus (lon'-jee-kaw-dah'-tus : "long-tailed southern mouse")
Not a lot is know bout the Long Tail Hopping Mouse it was last collected in 1901. It is believed to be related to the Mitchell Hopping Mouse. Its body was approximately 13cm long with a 18cm tail.
The Long Tail Hopping Mouse inhabited the arid to semi-arid woodlands and grasslands with clayey soil of central Australia.
Nothing is known of it biology.
