Deaf Connect have a long history of providing Australian Sign Language (Auslan) classes. Our team of experienced teachers deliver a range of courses from community classes, to accredited training, courses for Deaf and hard of hearing people, Deaf Awareness Training, and Auslan At Home sessions for people who want to learn Auslan for their Deaf or hard of hearing children.
Deaf Connect is the largest provider of Auslan and Interpreting classes and qualification courses (RTO #41192) in Australia. We currently deliver online programs nation-wide and face to face programs in the ACT, NSW, NT, QLD, SA and WA. Our Auslan tutoring for families with NDIS packages amounts to over 4,000 hours of tuition annually.
Deaf Connect’s education courses are guided by our mission to ensure an accessible and inclusive society for all. As the largest employer of Deaf people in Australia, our teachers are experts in the field and are also Deaf community members, providing lived experiences into the culture and language of the Deaf community.

Beginner Auslan Classes

Qualification Courses (Auslan & Interpreting)
Deaf Connect offers nationally recognised qualifications in Auslan and Interpreting through the Registered Training Organisation (RTO) of Deaf Services (RTO #41192). Courses that qualify students in Auslan and Interpreting are suited to people working in or interested in the disability sector, education sector or interpreting.
Courses for Deaf Adults
Are you looking to improve your skills and knowledge across different subject areas? We have a selection of courses available for Deaf and hard of hearing adults aged 15 or over, led by our deaf trainers who work with you and support you with your study.
Deaf Awareness Training
Whether you want to improve your service delivery to deaf clients or ensure that your deaf employee is included in the team, our customised Deaf Awareness Training (DAT) will give you the information and practical tips to improve your interactions with deaf people.
Auslan At Home
Deaf Connect offers classes to parents wishing to learn Auslan for their Deaf or hard of hearing children. You will learn age appropriate sign language through practical activities and learning signs around the home. The program is delivered by deaf tutors and can be delivered in the home at a time that suits the family.
