The smartphone comes equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 439 octa-core processor for faster and better performance, says Xiaomi. This processor is said to deliver a ‘seamless user experience’ while browsing the web, watching videos or using social media apps. Xiaomi Redmi 7A offers a 5.45-inch HD Full display with 1440x720 pixel resolution and an aspect ratio of 18:9. The smartphone boasts of the AI face unlock technology which is claimed by the company to unlock device instantly. One needs to press the power button available on the phone to analyse face and unlock the handset. On the camera front, the handset offers a 12MP rear camera with Sony IMX 486 sensor and 1.25 μm large pixels. It also supports phase detection autofocus and the AI Beautify mode. For selfies, the Redmi 7A features a 5MP camera at the front.
